Our farmhouse bed and breakfast has been recently renovated and refurbished to an extremely high standard, for your comfort. Our gardens and orchard 3 acres in total, have stunning views overlooking the valley where a variety of wildlife can be seen, birds of prey, hawks and kites to name but a few circle the valley and can be seen here all year round. Evening meals available on request.
Attractions:Ideally situated,in the heart of La Manche, with the major towns of Granville and Coutances 20 minutes drive away. Mont St Michel 45 minutes to the South and Bayuex and the D Day landling beaches approximately 1 hour to the North. We are 5 minutes drive from the charming market town of Gavray, where every Saturday throughout the year there is a local market, Wednesday is cattle market day. The beautiful town of Villedieu Les Poeles is just 15 minutes drive away, here you can visit the bell museum and market day is Tuesday. The ferry ports of Caen and Cherbourg are a direct drive one hour from our home and the port of Le Havre two and a half hours away. Dinard airport approx one hour to the south west.
DirectionsDriving from the port of Cherbourg, follow the signs touts directions then follow the signs for Rennes and Mont St Michel, on reaching Valognes take the D2 to Coutances then follow the signs for Gavray, travel through the town, cross over the bridge, turn right, follow the road until you reach the first major crossroads, turn left (direction Mesnil Garnier) after approx 500 meters turn left at the marker post La Grande Chalonniere.
Driving from the port of Caen, follow signs for Rennes A84 (non toll motorway) exit at jctn 37 Gavray follow the signs for Mesnil Garnier D33 approx 5 miles after Mesnil Garnier the road bends sharp left signposted Ver follow until you come to the first marker post on the right, La Grande Chalonniere.
Driving from the port Le Harvre, exit the port and follow the signs for Caen. once you reach Caen. Then use directions 'driving from Caen'.
