With spectacular views of the world famous Pont du Gard and the Alpilles mountains La Bastide Anne sits nestled between the vineyards, olive groves and ‘garrigue’ of the Provencal countryside.
Lavender-scented gardens, olive trees and truffle oaks abound, antique tiles and stone fireplaces, a garret tower and an immaculate French fountain set in a garden of serenity make this Bastide an elegant south of France escape

Our aim is not to be a hotel as such but a place which feels like your own any time of the year; where you can unwind after a day discovering the delightful sights this unspoilt part of France has to offer or by simply spending the day at the Bastide, soaking up the sun, taking a dip in the indoor swimming pool or maybe an afternoon nap in the summer living room. In winter cosy up with a good book in front of the XW1th fireplace.

Super comfortable beds, late breakfasts and delicious breakfasts made from fresh locally sourced ingredients are top of our agenda. La Bastide Sainte Anne, is a place dedicated to relaxation.

Description of Chambres D'Hotes:

We have three luxurious bedrooms, each designed to ensure your stay with us is simple perfection!

All of our rooms are individual in their style, whilst maintaining the traditional French character you would expect to find in the Languedoc, such as red floor tiles, beams, forged ironwork and wooden shutters, all with their own pretty entrance with views of the olive orchard.

Large comfortable beds with wonderful white linens, luxurious dressing gowns and slippers, large walk in showers, air conditioning gives the rooms a modern stylish twist.

A leisurely breakfast encourages you to find your own pace during your stay. Enjoy seasonal fruit, freshly pressed juices, muesli, yogurt, croissants, breads, cheeses and cold meats taken on any of the many terraces in the warmth of the morning sun including the Pont Du Gard terrace with views of the majestic Roman aquaduct.

The house was built by the Compagnons du Tour de France, a multi secular organisation of expert craftsmen who need to complete their apprenticeship through a general tour of France’s major cities and work under skilled masters in order to obtain the right to create their own masterpiece.

There is a library with an antique book shelf from the Louvre des Antiquaires with games, TV and a DVD player for DVD's and music. Or for something a little quieter choose to sit back with a good book, a cup of tea and enjoy the peace.
An indoor heated swimming pool awaits you all year round with a wooden beam ceiling and glass panel windows which open onto the serenity garden.

Sun loungers and steamer chairs await you to soak up the sunshine in the serenity garden with swimming towels provided and replaced at your request.

A short walk through the languedocien ”garrigue” brings you to the Medieval village of Castillon du Gard , when you can take a coffee ,some Tapas ,or enjoy a meal at the several restaurants and cafes ,

WIFI is available throughout the house and in your own rooms.

Beauty treatments can be arranged to be taken in your room. If you would like to give us your requirement at time of booking we can make sure that your needs will be met to the best of our ability.

We invite you to share with us this magnificent French manor house with year-round golden sunshine, crystal clear air and timeless surroundings where you will be assured the warmest welcome and unforgettable memories.

Attractions:

La Bastide Sainte Anne is ideally situated to discover all the things that makes the Languedoc special. We are on the outskirts of the Renaissance village, Castillon du Gard, between historic towns Nimes and Avignon, at the gateway to the Alpilles, the Camargue, the Cevennes and Frances first Duchy, Uzes. A wide range of sporting activities is available within less than an hour's drive from the La Bastide Sainte Anne: golf (around six courses), mountain biking and 4x4 driving in the garrigue, go-karting at the nearby Lédenon circuit, horse riding, rambling, canoeing down the Gardon and the Ardèche, water sports (Plages du Languedoc beaches in Port Camargue, Le Grau du Roi and La Grande Motte) and hot-air ballooning. On the doorstep and with awe inspiring views from our own terrace is the world famous PONT DU GARD, the biggest Aqueduct dating back to the Roman Empire and the Gardon valley. Enjoy the dukedom of UZES, the famous Saturday market with over 500 stalls and and the endless enjoyment of just strolling in the streets visiting local shops. There is always live entertainment - often ancient classical music - especially at night (July). The truffle festival at the beginning of the year is a must. Pop into the Haribo Confectionery Museum on the drive back. The potteries of Saint Quentin la Poterie Nearby Nimes (the city whence the denim ‘de nimes’ fabric came from) is also just a 25 minute drive with its antique arenes and famous for its annual bull-fighting festivals (at Whitsun and in September, for the harvest) The papal city of AVIGNON is a 30 minute drive away which was once the residence of Christiandom’s 5 popes during the Middle Ages and host to France’s most famous summer theatre festival. The vineyards of Les Costières de Nîmes, Tavel, Lirac and, of course, Châteauneuf du Pape (cellar tours and tastings) Bagnols sur Cèze and the Cèze valley Orange: the Roman amphitheatre and the Chorégies opera festival (July) Arles, gateway to the Camargue, with bull-fighting festivals at Easter and in September Saint Rémy de Provence, Les Baux de Provence and the Alpilles Pont Saint-Esprit bridge and the Ardèche valley Anduze (potteries), La Bambouseraie, the Trabuc caves and the foothills of the Cévennes The Languedoc coast and the beaches of Port Camargue, Le Grau du Roi and La Grande Motte The Camargue (Les Saintes Maries de la Mer and Aigues-Mortes) Montepellier - The medival city is the capital of the Languedoc-Roussillon région and best of all its only minutes from the beach.
